What Salt Works Best?

Best Salt Types
Works well with dry Himalayan pink salt, coarse sea salt, kosher salt, rock salt, and similar dry salt crystals.

Recommended Crystal Size
For best results, use dry salt crystals around 2–5 mm. Larger chunks should be broken down before grinding.

What to Avoid
Avoid wet, moist, or damp salt. Moisture can affect flow, grinding consistency, and long-term performance.
If Adjustment Feels Stiff
Adjust the grind size with the adjustment side facing upward. This helps dense salt particles fall away from the internal spring area instead of settling around it.
If the dial ever feels hard to turn, keep the adjustment side facing upward, then gently shake or tap the mill to loosen packed salt. Once cleared, normal adjustment will return.
